This film tells the story of Carl Denham (Jack Black) who wants to complete his film by taking the location of shooting on Skull Island. He also found a woman named Ann Darrow (Naomi Watts) whom she invited to become an actress in the film together with a writer named Jack Driscoll (Adrien Brody). But they did not know that Skull Island is a mysterious island that is the habitat of dangerous and strange creatures and wild animals, including one of them a giant gorilla named Kong.

Filming which initially went smoothly became tense when the ship got lost in the fog and ran aground on a rocky beach on Skull Island. Carl and his crew explored the island and were attacked by natives, who killed Carl's sound technician and also one of the sailors. Ann screamed when she was arrested, and there was a loud roar outside the wall. The chieftain targeted Ann, muttering the word "Kong". Englehorn killed one of the natives and his crew broke the attack and returned to the ship. They lightened their burden to float from the rocks and make repairs, but Jack found Ann had been kidnapped. The natives offered Ann as a sacrifice to Kong, a gorilla 25 feet (7.6 m) high. The crew is back armed, but it's too late because Kong brings Ann and runs away to the forest.

They found a swamp where actor Bruce Baxter and two others left the group. The rest crossed the swamp on the raft, only to be attacked by "Scorpio-pedes", also by "Piranhadon", which devoured three sailors. Rescuers are walking across a log that falls on a cliff during Kong's attack. Five crew members, including Hayes and Choy, were killed after being thrown out of the ship, and other crew members climbed into the ravine and landed in a hole. Kong returns to Ann and saves him from three Vastatosaurus rex. Kong took him to his nest in the mountains.

The rest of the rescuers found the hole filled with giant insects. Lumpy was killed by "Carnictics Sordicus" maggots while the other two were killed by spider-like creatures. Englehorn, Baxter and the two crew members returned, rescuing the last four members from the rescue party from the hole. When Jack continues to look for Ann, Carl decides to take Kong. Jack goes to Kong's nest, accidentally wakes him and fishes a bunch of Terapusmordax. When Kong fights for the herd, Ann and Jack escape. They arrive at the wall with Kong chasing them, and Ann becomes confused by what Carl planned. Kong broke through the gate and tried to return it, killing several sailors, but he fell silent as Carl knocked it with chloroform.

In New York City, Carl presented "Kong, the Eighth Wonder of the World" on Broadway, starring Baxter and Kong who were imprisoned. Ann is played by an anonymous choir girl, and Kong becomes angry after realizing that the girl on stage is not Ann. After breaking away from the chrome chain, he ruined the theater and chased after Jack. Kong knocks Jack by stopping his car and turning it over, then meets Ann again. Kong and Ann shared a moment in the frozen pond in Central Park until the army attacked.

Kong and Ann shared a moment in the frozen pond in Central Park until the army attacked. Kong climbed with Ann to the top of the Empire State Building, where he fought six F8C-5 Helldiver Navy aircraft, downing three. At the end of the confrontation, Kong was seriously injured by gunfire and looked at Ann one last time before falling from the building until his death. As Ann reunited with Jack, civilians, photographers, police and soldiers gathered around Kong's corpse. Carl managed to break through the crowd, looked at Kong for a long time and said, "Not an airplane, Beauty killed the Beast."

The result is a surprisingly involving and rather beautiful movie -- one that will appeal strongly to the primary action audience, and also cross over to people who have no plans to see "King Kong" but will change their minds the more they hear. I think the film even has a message, and it isn't that beauty killed the beast. It's that we feel threatened by beauty, especially when it overwhelms us, and we pay a terrible price when we try to deny its essential nature and turn it into a product, or a target. This is one of the year's best films¸ but I criticized this film a little because the 187-minute film or 3-hour-7-minute film was very long, for people who get bored quickly won't fit this film.

in this film there is an awkward aberration that everyone doesn't know, that is
03min: 26 seconds
When Ann was asked about Jack Driscoll's script book that he brought, a black man behind him took the script book. But in the next scene just a few seconds later, he had turned around while flipping through the book.

24 minutes: 46 seconds
Jack Driscoll stepped on animal droppings in a storage area for wild animals on a Ventura ship. He cleans the dirt in his right way by rubbing it on a chest. When the camera panned from afar, he stood in the same place but without dirt and crates on the floor.

28 minutes: 10 seconds
When Ann practices about what he will say later when he meets Jack Driscoll, the mirror in front of him looks dirty and has stained spots on Ann's flexed face. But in the next scene, the mirror looks very clean and immaculate. But after the next scene, the mirror looks dirty again.

1 hour: 32 minutes: 30 seconds
When Ann tamed Kong, he lay on the ground with his face up, then in the next picture he rose with spots on his forehead. A few seconds later the forehead is clean again.

2 hours: 17 minutes: 10 seconds
When Kong is paralyzed with chloroform and Jack is seen holding Jimmy unconscious in the water, it appears that the safety straps disguised are seen among a pile of grass floating in the water.
2 hours: 34 minutes: 47 seconds

When Kong chases Jack, we can see a woman in white clothes crossing across the hallway. The camera panned from the opposite direction and the woman disappeared instantly.

2 hours: 46 minutes: 57 seconds
At the top of the Empire State Building, Kong was shot in the chest by a fighter and saw his wound. In the next scene, the wound disappeared without trace.

In this film is a little uneducating, why? because this film shows that they easily want to take the animal to the middle of the city and make it an exhibition, as we know animals also want to live freely in their nature but they even bring it to the middle of the city. And what's worse is that they easily kill the animal with gunfire, stone throws, heat, glass or airplane fire, as animal lovers we certainly don't like seeing this film that shows how to kill innocent animals. This film is not good for those of you who like animals because you will see how the torture of this animal is done.

Surely there may still be many mistakes in this film. Maybe there are friends who want to add, please send comments. Oh yes, even though there are shortcomings here and there, however, this film is the greatest film I've ever watched when some years ago.
